Academic Support

The Student Life Center For Student Success can connect you with tutors and provide you resources to help you succeed in the classroom. Everyone needs help at some point in their academic journey. Don’t be afraid to ask. We are here to help.

No. Tutor schedules are available here. You can come in during any of their scheduled hours. Once you meet a tutor, you can set up recurring meetings with them or see them when you need to.

Not every subject, but a lot of the general education courses. Our goal is to provide a tutor for your entry-level classes. Once you get into your core classes, you should be able to connect with resources available in your academic department.

Study groups often meet in the Center For Student Success. Feel free to check in with us to see what study groups meet here and how you can get connected.

We provide you with laptops, headphones, and phone chargers you can check out while in the CSS. We can also provide you list with textbooks available on Course Reserve in the Miller Library.

Online Tutoring

Pear Deck Tutors (formerly TutorMe) via Canvas (link is listed on the left side of your Canvas dashboard)( is an online tutoring service available 24/7 with tutors that can assist in over 300 subjects. You can connect and interact with a live tutor, submit your writing assignment, or submit a question and receive a reply from a tutor.

In-Person Tutoring

Located in Miller Library 2nd floor, the Tutor Center offers free, accessible, and convenient options to supplement your academic experience. We offer In-Person Peer-to-peer tutoring services on main campus, providing personalized attention on campus to help you with your courses in one-on-one sessions, group sessions, embedded in-class tutors, and workshops for general education courses, if you need assistance in core classes, connect with your academic department for additional resources.

Writing Center

At the Writing Center, they are much more than a proofreading service (though we can help you learn to proofread, too). Their primary goal is to help you become more confident and skillful with words and ideas. They will help you identify your difficulties and give you some concrete tools you can use to sharpen your writing. You can expect helpful and friendly tutors who will involve you and your ideas in your tutoring session.
