Oversee the shelter Monday-Friday, during 4 p.m. to 12am shift. Responsible for 24-hour crisis calls during the evening shift. Screens potential residents, and conducts intakes, referrals, and information accordingly. Shift can be flexible in conjunction and dialog with other staff so that the shelter is not left unstaffed. Network with agencies and provides referrals and support services for residents seeking referral services. Coordinates with the Victim Advocate in assessing the needs of residents. Offer case management to residents, education on domestic violence and other services needed as identified by client. Participates in the maintenance of the facility. Maintains and assures cleanliness of the building. Checks chores, meal preparations and assists with menu planning according to the food program. Sorting and putting away groceries and cleaning supplies for the shelter. Offers advocacy and ongoing support to clients daily. Must be 21 years of age or older to apply.
