Oversees shelter operations Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., including responsibility for 24-hour crisis calls during the evening shift. Screens potential residents and conducts intakes, referrals, and provides information as needed. Schedule may be flexible in coordination with staff to ensure continuous shelter coverage.
Collaborate with community agencies to provide referrals and support services for residents. Works closely with the Victim Advocate to assess client needs and provide appropriate services. Provides case management, including education on domestic violence and other services as identified by the client.
Participates in the overall maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, including monitoring chores, assisting with meal preparation, and supporting menu planning in accordance with the food program. Responsible for sorting and organizing groceries and cleaning supplies for the shelter.
Provides daily advocacy and ongoing support to clients in a trauma-informed manner.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Reliable, responsible, good communication skills, maturity, and good listening skills.
2. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
3. Willingness to become familiar with issues of domestic violence.
4. Ability to work holidays.
5. Must be at least 21 years of age.
6. Must pass background check.
